In 2005 the directorate started a Think Tank in order to broaden the middle management of ICaR-VU. The Think Tank encounters monthly, and discusses and advices in open brainstorm sessions how to improve the quality of the research programme. This includes discussion regarding new scientific hypotheses and technological developments with impact for the research of ICaR-VU, improvement of the consistency of the programme of the research themes, the participation of ICaR-VU in large research programs nationally and internationally, improvement of funding and visibility of ICaR-VU’s research, and stimulation of young investigators.
The Think Tank has is composed of a core of presently 12 regular members,
which can be extended with associated members, who are committed to the
specific fields to be discussed in a particular meeting.
