H: Improvement of Cardiac Function in Heart Failure
The normal heart and the transition to failure are studied at the molecular and cellular level, at the cardiac muscle level and whole heart level, in terms of muscle contraction and pump function. Cardiac energy metabolism at the demand side and the coronary circulation as the energy supply system are also investigated. The primary endpoint will be reduction of the suffering from cardiac failure.
