Application of inertial sensing in clinical motor function assessment

This project aims to investigate two different applications of inertial and magnetic sensors (IMS) in clinical motor function assessment:

Gait analysis and the use of biomechanical models in children with Cerebral Palsy (CP3D project)

The general goal of this project is to gain more insight into the relation between biomechanical properties of the musculo-skeletal system and the gait pattern in children with Cerebral palsy.

The effect of energy storing characteristics of custom made Carbon-Kevlar Ankle Foot Orthoses on gait in patients with Stroke and MS

Evaluation of functional upper extremity movements

Functional coordination after a lesion of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament about the knee

Quantification of co-contraction of knee muscles with a clinically applicable EMG-force model

Measurement of energy expenditure in patients with locomotion disorders
